We believe that our calling to serve the community needs to encompass a holistic approach and because of that, part of Miami Bethany Community Services' dream is to help our low-income residents get affordable but also dignifying housing.
What can I say… the people from Miami Bethany are a lifesaver. As a widow and depending only on the minimal assistance the government provides, It became really hard for me to get a decent place to live. I reached out to Miami Bethany and they did the due diligence and found me an apartment; I simply love it. -

My wife and I were newlyweds when I found myself struggling to keep my job. My wife wasn’t working at the time and the only income was mine. Our situation was so harsh that we could not afford to pay for a small efficiency and food at the same time. It was then that through Miami Bethany we were able to get an affordable apartment and weekly boxes of food. That made a great difference in our lives. -

In reality, I didn’t know what I was going to do. I was sick, I didn’t have a job and I was depending on family members to go by because the assistance I was getting from my social security wasn't simply enough. I was already receiving some kind of help from Miami Bethany in the form of boxes of food, and I reached out to them to help me with housing. I was needing a place of my own but also something I could pay. Miami Bethany took me through the process of getting an apartment at a very low cost, something I thought was impossible, but they pulled it off… Miami Bethany is a Godsend. -

As the man of the house, you don’t want your family to go through bad situations, but life isn’t scripted. My wife and I found ourselves jumping from place to place and the instability was messing us up. Due to the high renting costs, I could not afford anything more than a room, but at that time it was the only option we had. Then through Miami Bethany, we were able to secure an apartment, as they say, with all the powers, and better yet, we could afford it. -

I was relocated from New Orleans to Miami due to Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and thought the Bethany Disaster Assistance Program my family and I were able to pass through very difficult hardships. Not only that, but Miami Bethany was also able to secure an apartment, paid for the first six months of rent, as well as providing food and clothing. -

I arrived to Miami from Cuba with my daughter Diana when she was still a toddler. As a single mother, this city could be intimidating but thanks to Miami Bethany and their weekly food distribution, we were able to stay afloat until I found a job, and when I thought things could not get any better, Miami Bethany helped us get an affordable apartment. -
